The 2012 cohort of our Carillion Leadership Programme completed their second module of a four module programme today.
Dr Stathis Tapinos, Lecturer in Strategic Management with the Economics and Strategy Group at Aston Business School visited Carillion’s premises in Wolverhampton to deliver the two day module on Strategic Management.
During the module the participants have become familiar with basic Strategic Management concepts, and have gained an understanding of the different levels of strategy making, engaging with the application and utilisation of Strategy Tools.
As a conclusion to the module and to reinforce the learning the cohort were asked to consider the key issues and themes raised during the module and to relate these to challenges that are being faced by themselves or the business as a whole. To complete the Programme the People Management and Business Performance modules will be delivered later in the year.
The Carillion Leadership Programme has now been running for over 10 years. Due to the fact that the modules for each cohort are delivered over 18 months, at any given time there are always 3 cohorts running concurrently. Participants learn and apply leadership skills and knowledge drawn from four key areas of organisational and commercial research:
- Customer Engagement
- Strategic Management
- People Management
- Business Performance.
