About the Speakers

Nick Holzherr

Nick was recently awarded an honorary doctorate in enterprise from Aston University. Nick and his businesses have been featured in leading publications including Newsweek, The Guardian, The Telegraph, bbc.co.uk and The Next Web and have won multiple awards including a Cisco BIG award, The Drum’s "One to Watch" honours and The Grocer’s "Top New Talent" award.

Max Game

Both the founders Matt Roberts and Max Game graduated with a BSc in Marketing with Honours from Aston Business School.

Bean2Bed.com manufactures, markets and retails an innovative guest bed solution: memory foam bean bags with beds inside.

Bean2Bed was created to solve the problem of having guests to stay. There is often a cost and space paradigm, which needed to be addressed. The founders had been let down by air beds (literally) and saw the gap in the market for their innovative, dual-purpose product.

The best thing about running our own busineses is every day is different and you are in charge of your own destiny. It can be hard work and a real rollercoaster however it’s a fantastic journey. You cannot describe the feeling of joy you get when you have gone the extra mile for a customer and they take the time and trouble to Tweet (@Bean2Bed), Facebook message or e-mail in with kind words, positive feedback and (sometimes) a picture of them or their friend/family member enjoying their new Bean2Bed
