Professional Mentoring Scheme

Ashley Ebanks - BSc Business and Management

"My mentor gave me valuable careers advice, introduced me to numerous contacts, and also gave me hands on work experience. My one particular highlight is when my mentor gave me hands-on work experience by taking me on a business trip to London which helped to bolster my CV and thus aided my success in securing a placement. I would recommend the scheme to anybody that is open to new experiences and is serious about their learning and development."

Amit Bagga

Amit Bagga - BSc Economics & Management

"Throughout the Scheme my mentor continuously challenged me on my style of thinking and taught me to 'treat every interaction as a performance' which has allowed me to develop myself on both a personal and professional level.

The scheme has truly allowed me to realise my potential and as a result, with the support of my mentor, I have now gained a placement at Grant Thornton as a Corporate Finance Advisor. I would definitely recommend all students to apply for the scheme as it will equip you with both the confidence and direction to begin your desired career path."
