Connecting investors, innovators and entrepreneurs in the West Midlands
Venturefest West Midlands takes place on Thursday 27th June 2017 at the NEC, Birmingham.
This one-day event will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to meet, engage, and discuss ideas.
The programme offers networking opportunities along with a forum for presenting practical advice, stimulating ideas and funding options to entrepreneurs and start-ups particularly in the science, knowledge and technology fields.
Pitchfest, a pitching competition for business owners, presents a unique opportunity for businesses to raise their profile both in the West Midlands and in front of a national audience of investors. Business owners are invited to present their ideas in a pitch for investment and stand a chance of winning one of several awards.There are workshops available to help business owners improve their pitching technique, as well as panel rounds to hone their presentation. Final pitches will take place during Venturefest.
Speakers at the event include founders and CEOs of a variety of start-up and established SMEs, as well as representatives of Innovate UK, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and local universities.
There are plenty of opportunities to network, with Pitchfest businesses exhibiting in the main area, as well as stands from other businesses, universities, Growth Hubs and business support organisations. There will also be a dedicated networking zone with Open Innovation Live, Meet Someone New and the chance to test your creativity.
Tea and coffee will be served throughout the day, with lunch available between 12:30 and 14.00.
