Malaysia Alumni Association visits Aston

Members of the Aston Alumni Association Malaysia visit campus.

We were delighted to welcome members of the Alumni Association and their families to Aston.  For many it was their first visit since graduation.  The morning opened with an update on the University's plans for redevelopment by Alan Charters, Executive Director of Capital Development.  Members then enjoyed  a campus tour.  They saw the new buildings, visited a typical student room in the new residencies, and found their old haunts where many memories of student days came flooding back.

It was a special day for three of the members.  Unable to attend their graduation ceremonies, Razali Budin, Aniah Baharom, and N Md Amin bin Taib were congratulated by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Julia King and donned Aston robes for a commemorative photograph.

The day closed with a presentation to the Vice-Chancellor by Association President Datuk Mohamed Al Amin Abdul Majid.
