Welcome to the College of Business and Social Sciences and to Aston University.

The College comprises three Schools: Aston Business School, Aston Law School and the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Zoe RadnorAston Business School is part of an elite group of global business schools that hold the gold standard of ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. It is proud of its high levels of student satisfaction, educational innovation, for example by extensive use of serious games, and the impact of its research centres on businesses and on government policy toward business.

Aston Law School has grown rapidly since its inception, with a focus on business law and the entrepreneurial side of law like Intellectual Property. Unusually for a law school, it is led by a former Senior Partner in a national law firm, a statement of its focus on graduate employability and intimate connection with the world of enterprise.

The School of Social Sciences & Humanities offers programmes and undertakes highly-regarded research in sociology, politics, language, culture and history. It has made significant contributions to social policy and cultural understanding, in the UK and internationally. It has numerous joint programmes with the Aston Business School. And it also has the distinction having received the largest research grant ever given to Aston – to the Aston Institute for Forensic Linguistics. The work of the Institute improves both the effectiveness of the legal process and of our intelligence agencies.

Whichever School you’re joining, I hope you take every incredible opportunity available to develop your skills and become a graduate that can really make a difference in the world.
