Car Parking

Park Mark Logo

The Security department has responsibility for controlling all University car parks. There are 10 in total spread across the campus from North to South.

However with an inner city based campus, demand is high and so all parking is strictly controlled.

The University carries the Park Mark accreditation and are regularly assessed to ensure our car parks meet current codes of practice.

We offer a limited amount of Pay & Display parking on a first come first served basis. This facility is currently located in Car Park 5 which is located off Holt Street, B7 4BH. (shown in Blue on the below map)

Parking charges are £5.00 per visit and there are two options for payment:

1 - Pay & Display - The machine is located within the car park (coins only)

2 - Telephone - You can now pay by phone using the 'Whoosh' system. See the Pink and Blue signs on the car park for full details or visit www.whooshstore.com where prepay is available by using location code 10008.

Once Parked, when you leave the car park either from the pedestrian gate located in the far left hand corner, or the main gates, turn right. From the far end of this short service road you will see the 'Student Union Building' located on your right. Immediately after is the Large 'Main Building'. Continue walking ahead following the path to find the Main Entrance to the Main Building.

Student Parking

Unfortunately we are unable to offer parking for students. We would recommend students refrain from bringing their vehicles to campus. Birmingham offers a wide variety of Public transport, all of which is very close to Campus.

However exceptions will be made on moving in weekend and the main weekend of departure at the end of the academic year, where free parking will be available.

Students with a medical needs requiring them to park on campus should apply through Student Services.

Car Parking Control

We patrol the campus car parks in order to deter and prevent any possible criminal activity, and also to ensure all vehicles are authorised. Unauthorised vehicles will be subject to Penalty Charge Notices.
