Yellow Room

The room is split between a carpeted and messy area, with the emphasis on learning through play.

Aston University Nursery: Yellow Room

This room is for children aged from 5 months to 2 years old.

Here in the Yellow Room we can cater for up to 15 children a day between the ages of 5 months to 2 years old, on a 1:3 ratio. We like to set out the room in a way to encourage the children to develop at their own pace in a warm, stimulating environment.

The room is split between a carpeted and messy area, the emphasis being on ‘learning through play’. With this in mind, a combination of sensory baskets, home corner equipment, books and a wide variety of toys, messy activities and other resources are available and suitable to the age range.

The babies also have access to a quiet hideaway cube all day, where they can retreat to rest their heads and / or just relax.

Parents receive daily feedback sheets which covers everything from sleep times, fun times, feeding, nappies and activities.

We realise the importance of your baby being content and happy so our dedicated team will do everything possible to make their nursery day fun and enjoyable, giving lots of love and cuddles. We have facilities to ‘make-up’ bottles, blend and purée food, and sterilising if necessary.

We ask parents to provide their own nappies, cream, wipes, a comforter if necessary, two changes of clothes, any bottles and formula. The children have their own blanket and sheet for their bed or cot to avoid cross contamination.
