Red Room

The layout of the room allows the children to interact and play as part of a small group or independently.

Nursery - Red Room

This room is for children aged from 2½ years to 3 years old.

Red room supports the children’s individual needs through a range of carefully planned, focussed activities along with opportunities for child initiated activities. The layout of the room allows the children to interact and play as part of a small group or independently with a range of stimulating resources to encourage their curiosity and exploration. Red room has direct access to one of the nursery gardens creating the opportunity for free flow, allowing children to choose between learning inside and outside.

Red room works closely with Blue room in order to support the children with their transition into pre-school.

The room has a large role-play area, which is frequently used by children of this age in their imitations of practical experiences. The role-play area is regularly adapted to fit around the children’s interests and is supported by staff who extend their learning further by engaging and becoming part of their play.
