The Centre for Executive Development at Aston Business School offers you the chance to take part in a rare senior leadership programme in India.

Corporate leaders and senior executives with international remits are invited to sign-up to a premier-class programme to bolster their ability to deliver cross-culturally and across national boundaries.

Global Leaders for Global Delivery, a five day programme, is an exciting collaboration between two world-leading Business Schools, Aston in Birmingham and XLRI Jameshedpur, in India.

Designed to develop global leaders’ abilities to be effective in international contexts, this programme is specifically tailored to enhance skills to: manage personal impact in cross-national contexts; lead and create high performance teams; deliver across cultures and multiple organisations; address and benchmark personal leadership challenges.

Programme co-host Cora Lynn Heimer Rathbone, Director of Executive Education and of the Centre for Executive Development (CED) at Aston Business School, said:

“Today, most senior executives and rising talent need to manage and lead cross-national teams and individuals from diverse national backgrounds to deliver value that meets the exacting demands of well-informed and experienced clients. To do that effectively requires a extraordinary self awareness and flexibility.”

This action learning, interactive programme addresses those issues directly through high impact sessions followed by small group work for in-depth discussion and application. To increase relevance, in advance of the programme, each participant will be asked to specify a particular business challenge of a cross-border nature. During the programme, participants will be coached to apply the learning to that challenge and to develop an action plan for application. Three and six-month post-programme scheduled telephone exchanges will support implementation and capture the value gained.

Additionally, this senior-leader programme provides excellent opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and gives them an emersion experience in India, land of the next 1 billion consumers.

Global Leaders for Global Delivery is running from Monday 18th - Friday 22nd October 2010, Jamshedpur, India. The programme cost is £4,750 including all materials, cultural events and full-board accommodation.

Due to the limited amount of places on the programme, early applications are advisable and will be processed on a first-come-first serve basis.
