The UKRC, the Government’s lead body for advancing gender equality in science is inviting guests to listen to three inspirational female scientists at their lunch reception at The British Science Festival, at Aston University in Birmingham.

Guests will be given the chance to listen to Sunetra Gupta, a leading bioscientist and novelist; Liz Watson, an Engineering Director at Rolls Royce and Sarah Baillie, inventor of the haptic cow talk, about their work and their lives in science in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

A networking opportunity is available afterwards for guests to discuss their own experiences and to meet the speakers.

The UKRC’s lunch reception is being held on at Room MB554, Aston University, Birmingham on Tuesday, September 14th from 11am to 2pm with talks starting at 11am.
