Aston University colleagues helped raise over £8000 for charity last month as they took the plunge in a series of tandem skydives.

The event was organised by former Aston University colleague Megan Jones and her husband Tim, as they raised money for the Help for Heroes charity.

Each participant spent approximately a minute in freefall from 12,000 feet. Joanne Pendleton, an Aston Business School colleague was part of the tandem skydiving team, “the most memorable part of the whole day was the exhilaration of the freefall experience and the overwhelming support friends and family who contributed to the fund-raising with open hearts and open wallets!”

Donations can still be made on the joint team page at www.justgiving.com/Tim-and-Megan-Jones.
