Walking in a winter wonderland!

Skiing at Aston University

6th February 2009

A week of heavy snowfall has caused high spirits across the University as students make the most of Aston’s winter weather.

Students were keen to embrace the snowy weather, with snowmen appearing throughout the campus and some more adventurous students even using the snow as an opportunity to brush up on their skiing skills!

The weather conditions came at a perfect time, allowing students to unwind after completing their exams by opting for sledging competitions instead.

Not letting the snow put on hold other celebrations, the opening parade to ‘One World Week’ went ahead along with the balloon release - if anything the weather conditions were embraced by the students and added to the festival atmosphere.
