University welcomes local youngsters

Pupils from Lynden Green Junior School in Sheldon, will be dazzling onlookers as part of the entertainment to be showcased at Aston University Students’ Guild on 11 October.

The children will be performing a country style ‘tudor’ dance and short play in full costume as part of the delights the Guild’s ‘Society Day’. The special event aims to showcase the societies and clubs available to Aston University students, as well as promote and raise cultural awareness.

The action packed day will take place on Wednesday 11 October from 1pm – 5pm, in the Students’ Guild and is sponsored by Ernst & Young.

The event promises to display a wide range of cultural activities including demonstrations from a variety of dance and music genres, sports, and languages, as well as from Amnesty International, Model United Nations and many more.

There will be an opportunity for students to sample cuisine from around the globe, including Hindu, Vietnamese, traditional Thai dishes and a BBQ.
