ProcrASTONators are the pub brains of Britain

STUDENTS from Aston University were crowned pub quiz brains of Britain last week after beating business school rivals London School of Economics in a thrilling final.

The aptly named 'ProcrASTONators' won by just one point in The Daily Telegraph Pub Quiz Challenge Final, which was held at the London School of Economics and was hosted by TV magician, Paul Zenon.

The jubilant students went through regional rounds before seeing off 12 teams in the final to win 250 plus 14 days in Thailand.

However, the brain box team comprising of Aston Business School students Richard Chynoweth, Mike Jenkinson and James Bowman, with Civil Engineering student Mark Bambury, very nearly didn't make it to the final.

Captain Richard Chynoweth said: "We had put a lot of time and effort, not to mention beer drinking into preparing for this competition so we were gutted when our team van decided to break down on the M1. Luckily, our taxis turned up just in time. It was also good to get one over LSE seeing as they were hosting the event!"
