First Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Aston University

KEITH WILSON has been appointed Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Aston University in Birmingham. It is the first Chair in Pharmacy Practice at the university.

Prof Wilson remains Director of Undergraduate Programmes in the School of Life & Health Sciences and is also Head of the Pharmacy Practice Research Group at Aston. He is currently Chair of the Birmingham Branch of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and a former treasurer and a member of the Regional Committee of the RPSGB. He is also a member of their accreditation team and of their adjudicating committee.

Prof Wilson joined Aston in 1976 as a lecturer in Pharmacology after obtaining a first-class honours BSc in Pharmacy and his PhD in Pharmacology.

Keith's research interests include pharmacy roles, the development of pharmaceutical services, and policy development in relation to pharmacy.
