Professor Kevin Morley

Born in Liverpool in 1950, Kevin Morley studied Psychology at Surrey University, followed by an M.Sc. at the University of Aston and an M.B.A. at Aston University Business School.  Kevin joined Ford UK in 1977 and then Austin Rover Group in 1986 as Marketing Director under Canadian Graham Day. In 1988 he was promoted to Sales & Marketing Director, then Commercial Director and finally in 1990, he became Managing Director of Rover Group Cars and a member of the Rover Group Board. Instrumental in turning Rover Group around and making it profitable for the first time in over a decade, by 1996 the company had a turnover of £3.2 billion and a staff of 1100. After leaving Rover in 1992, he set up Kevin Morley Marketing, whose sole client was Rover Group.  Kevin has been a director of DFS Plc, Flying Flowers, Jacobs Holdings; and founding member of the Advisory Board of Jon Moulton's Venture Capital company Alchemy Partners.

Kevin is Chairman of several private companies, and Senior Non-Executive Director of Stadium Group. He became chairman and head of Young Driver in 2009. Associated with many charities, he is Vice President of the British Dyslexia Association, and a Charter Member of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, the Chairman of the Parish Finance Committee, and the Chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Appeal Committee. Kevin was formerly Honorary Professor in Business Studies at Warwick Business School. Kevin is an expert on automotive trends and markets, he regularly appears in the media and is one of Europe’s leading automotive executives.

He is non-exec Chairman of Arlington Automotive. In March 2009, Kevin appeared on Channel 4's reality television show Secret Millionaire, where working as a volunteer among community projects in Haringey, North London, he donated £250,000

Kevin is a member of the University’s Development Board.
