Judith Whitaker is Chief Operating Officer at Aston University, responsible for the welfare of staff and students, through the direct leadership of Human Resources, Staff Development, Equality & Diversity, Student Support, Residences, Sport and Recreation, Information Systems Aston (ISA), Health & Safety, the Nursery, Security, Campus Services, Chaplaincy, the Library, and the primary liaison between the University and the Students’ Union. Judith is the University’s Secretary-Registrar.

Before joining Aston University, Judith was the Chief Operating Officer for the DVLA delivering in excess of 200 million transactions per year. Prior to this she has held a variety of senior public sector roles, including leading a team of value for money auditors in the Audit Commission and being one of the first Human Resources Directors for a Primary Care Trust in the NHS.

Judith is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has an MSc. in Personnel Management.
