Our Fairtrade Steering Group have pulled out all the stops to organise some great events in the run up to Christmas.

On Wednesday 5th December we are holding a Fairtrade Gift Fair in our Martin Luther King Multi-faith Centre. Pop along anytime between 11.30 - 2.30pm for a free glass of mulled apple juice and the chance to pick up some fabulous Fairtrade gifts, including jewellery, beauty products, food, home accessories and much more from stalls such as Traidcraft, More Cocoa, Fairtrade Design and the Body Shop.

Then on Thursday 6th December we are welcoming to Aston a member of the UK Fairtrade Foundation along with a fairtrade banana producer from St Lucia. We’ll be celebrating with some delicious Fairtrade cake and there’ll be plenty of chances to meet them and ask any questions you might have.

Finally, to round off the celebrations we are holding our ever-popular Fairtrade Wine-Tasting. Now fully booked, this event will be held on Monday 10th December and is a great opportunity for people to try some new Fairtrade tipples and learn a bit about Fairtrade wine production, as well as get into the party spirit ready for Christmas!

We look forward to seeing you at one of the events.

Details have now been confirmed for Thursday 6th December....

1pm in G8, come and meet a Fairtrade Banana producer from St Lucia. Farmer Nicholas Faisal, who produces bananas for Sainsburys, will give an informal talk and answer questions. Everyone welcome. Fairtrade refreshments will be provided.
