Athena SWAN: Charter for Women in Science

In 2010 Aston applied for and achieved the Athena SWAN University Bronze Award, in recognition of our commitment to the advancement and promotion of the careers of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Maths (STEMM).  

In 2013, the School of Life & Health Sciences also achieved a Departmental Bronze Award.

In 2013, the University submitted an application for a University level Silver Award and the School of Engineering & Applied Science also applied for a Departmental Silver Award.  We are waiting to hear the outcome.

In 2014, the School of Life & Health Sciences intend to apply for a Departmental Silver Award.
