Mentoring 1

Recruitment for our 'Students into Schools' scheme starts soon!

  • Want to make a difference to children and young people in Birmingham? 
  • Considering a career in teaching? 
  • Or just looking to build up your work experience and develop your skills?

Then the Students into Schools scheme may just be for you!

The Students into Schools scheme gives you the opportunity to volunteer in a local primary, secondary, post 16 or special school. Throughout the 10 week project you will work directly with a range of pupils to support their learning, raise aspirations, and act as a positive role model in your community. 

This is a great opportunity for students to make a positive difference to the education of local children, gain work experience within education and develop communication and leadership skills.

If you are interested in the scheme, you will need to attend one of our information sessions to find out more and pick up an application form: 

  • Wednesday 14th October 2015, 1 - 2pm, G11 
  • Wednesday 21st October 2015, 1 - 2pm, G11 
  • Thursday 22nd October 2015, 1 - 2pm, MB261
