Full-Time MBA

The Aston Full-time MBA is an intensive programme that offers thorough coverage of the principles of strategic thinking in a business context.

Over the course of the year, we develop your management skills and enhance your ability to lead and inspire. As a full-time MBA student, you will become part of a diverse community of business professionals who learn collaboratively, sharing your considerable work experience and diverse international perspectives to enrich the learning experience.

Programme details

Study Visit

Full-time MBA students visit and study at a top European business school for a week – this is included in the tuition fee. Most recently, our students have visited Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Barcelona and Leuven. We also host MBA students from our international partners, giving you the chance to further develop your global network.

Transfer to other modes of study

You can transfer to the Part-Time or Online learning routes any time during the year, if your visa, employment status or personal commitments change


Modules are assessed through a series of individual assignments and group work, in which you will analyse complex business situations and make recommendations, as well as sitting written exams at the end of each term.

The Aston Edge will be assessed through a portfolio of achievements and skills you will compile during the programme.

The programme culminates with a major project which enables you to showcase your management ability in a real business situation.

Special features

As a part of the MBA programme you will go on a one week study trip to another top business school. Most recently, our students have visited Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Barcelona and Leuven. There are also opportunities for longer exchanges with international partners.

MBA FT programme

Business Project

The major project gives you the opportunity to design your own learning experience to fit your own area of interest. You can complete your project in a number of ways and use it as a springboard for your future career. View examples of recent MBA business projects

International experience

As well as the multicultural experience that you will enjoy by working with our staff and other students, you will also take part in a study visit to another country, organised in conjunction with one of our 30 partner business schools worldwide.

The study visit will include tuition sessions, workshops on particular local or regional industries and visits to businesses.

Exchange programme

You can also choose to study part of your MBA at one of our partner business schools or add further study to your Aston-accredited modules at various summer schools. 

These programmes are all taught in English. As these opportunities are part of our international exchange programme there are no tuition fees. More information can be found here.

  • Students from EU countries (including the UK): £25,550
  • Students from non-EU countries: £25,550

Payment of tuition fees

You can pay your fees in full at the beginning of the programme, or choose to pay in three termly instalments of 50% (term 1), 25% (term 2), and 25% (term 3). Please note your fees will vary depending on which scholarships you have been awarded.

MBA deposit payment

When you accept your place onto the Aston MBA you will be required to pay a £1,000 deposit. This sum will be deducted from your total tuition fee amount upon enrolment.

We offer funding support to suitable candidates through a range of scholarships. These can be applied for during application, or when an offer for a place has been made by us and accepted by you.

Entry requirements:

For direct enrolment onto the Aston MBA programme, you will need one of the following
  • A good UK honours degree, or
  • An equivalent overseas degree recognised by Aston University, or
  • A degree-level professional qualification.


  • At least three years’ relevant post-graduation work experience by the time you start your programme
  • An official academic transcript of your grades (in English) 
  • Two references – preferably one from an academic referee, the other from your current or previous employer (Two professional references may be accepted from applicants with substantial work experience).

Applicants with extensive work experience
We accept applications from 
candidates with extensive work experience who have not completed a graduate qualification. You will initially be enrolled as a Certificate student and attend all the same classes as MBA students. Provided you pass your first six modules, you will transfer to the MBA at no additional cost.
